Last night I had the sad news that my great aunt P Last night I had the sad news that my great aunt Pearl had passed away. Whilst not a blood relative nor was she and my great uncle Denis married, they were together longer than my parents were married and I considered her my great aunt and we stayed in touch following my great uncle's death. Her death has hit my dad particularly hard as she was the last of his parent's generation. For my christening when I was 3 months old, Denis and Pearl gave me a lamb Teddy which I still have to this day and imaginatively named "Lamby". For my 40th birthday we visited Legoland Windsor and were able to visit Auntie Pearl and reunite her with the lamb Teddy she had given me so many years earlier.

Rest in peace Auntie Pearl, enjoy your reunion with Uncle Denis

He can't wait to try it out with the little recipe book it came with! Does anyone else have one? What is your favourite recipe to cook using your multi cooker?

For me, this picture completely sums up 2020 and i For me, this picture completely sums up 2020 and it is heartbreaking. The only way this poor gentleman can see his wife, is through the window of the hospital! The nurses kindly brought his wife closer so they could say hello, whilst he stood there in the rain.

I remember when my nan was dying and how my grandad wouldn't leave her side. The one time he did, it was because my dad had forced him home to eat. It was during our meal that she passed away and my grandad was heartbroken that he hadn't been there. He couldn't cope without her and he died 16 months later.

I could imagine my grandad being stood outside the hospital to see his wife!

I wish, hope and pray more than anything that this lovely couple are reunited at home in time for Christmas!

This Christmas is unlike any other since the wars. Yet as long as we are all safe then nothing else matters! Christmas after all, is about our loved ones and not the material things.

I think one quote sums up everything. We miss each other this Christmas so we can all be together next year!!!

Merry Christmas to you all and stay safe!!!
